Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

All ARE WELCOME!

Have you ever considered becoming part of the Catholic Church? Do you know someone who has questions about the Catholic Faith?  The Church provides the process of Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults to assist person’s wanting to become Catholic.  Here at Saint Martin of Tours parish, our door is open for all who yearn to discover their journey of faith.

What is RCIA?

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process whereby those interested in learning about the Catholic faith come together on a weekly basis to learn about the scriptures and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and at the same time to discover where God is present in their lives.

The RCIA process for children is modeled after the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and is designed for children who have reached the age of reason (usually around age seven and beyond).  It meets the needs of our youth who are new to our faith or have very little knowledge of the Catholic religion.  Together with their parents, children will attend weekly sessions that are filled with prayer, the word of God through scripture, and religious instruction.

Who is RCIA for?

*Persons in need of baptism

*Persons baptized in another Christian tradition who desire to become Catholic

*Persons baptized Catholic in need of first communion and confirmation

If you’d like to learn more about the process or perhaps would like to be a sponsor for someone who is interested in becoming Catholic, please contact the Kris Krimm at 513-347-2646.  We are looking forward to hearing from you!
