Peace and all good things to you! As I begin writing this letter, I find myself thinking about what has happened in the world and in all of our lives since the beginning of March. What an unbelievable journey of uncertainty, suffering, radical changes in our daily lifestyle and FAITH! It has been over nine weeks since we have been able to join together as a parish community to celebrate the Eucharist and by now all of us are longing to be fed by the gift of the Lord’s precious Body and Blood. Dear Parishioners,

May the grace and peace of our Risen Lord be with you! After a Lenten journey like we have never experienced before and the subdued but faith-filled prayers of Holy Week, we come to the most important Christian celebration of the entire year – Easter Sunday. It’s always challenging to put our whole minds and hearts around the magnificent miracle of the Resurrection of Jesus and our words often falter. The Sacred Triduum

The second half of Holy Week brings us to what is referred to as The Triduum. The most accurate translation of this Latin title is “The Three Days.” It begins at sundown on Holy Thursday and continues through sundown on Easter Sunday. From a liturgical perspective Lent technically ends with the beginning of the Triduum which then is a single celebration extending over these three days when we celebrate the fundamental mystery of our faith and what it means to be a Christian and a member of the Church.
