Music for your Catholic Wedding
Angela Birkhead-Flight
Director of Music and Liturgy, St. Martin of Tours, Cincinnati
Planning the music for your wedding at St. Martin of Tours should begin with attending mass and becoming familiar with what our parish musicians have to offer.  As an organist, singer, and pianist, I have performed at hundreds of weddings over the course of the last two decades.   I strive to create the most beautiful sound possible for every wedding I am privileged to be a part of.   In addition to my work at St. Martin of Tours, I have also worked as a recording artist and my recordings are available on every major distributor site for independent digital recordings.  I am a published composer with Oregon Catholic Press, Kjos Publications, and Canticanova, and have a sound knowledge of improvisation, which is key to a smoothly flowing liturgy.

In addition, I have very competent musicians I can recommend if you want to add some beauty to your ceremony.  Strings and/or trumpet have been very popular in the past and help to add that touch of elegance.

When you schedule your wedding, ask at the rectory for a wedding music packet.  It  comes with a recording of the most frequently chosen pieces to help you plan.  You are not restricted to those pieces, but most couples find it a useful place to start.

To contact Angela Birkhead-Flight, call the parish office at 661-2000.
