Anointing of the Sick
Each sacrament recognizes God’s grace in our lives. God’s presence, God’s compassion is clearly present in the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
The Anointing of the Sick is given when a member of the community becomes gravely ill or in old age. The sacrament recognizes God’s grace to strengthen, give hope and healing to those who are sick. The sacrament can be received more than once but should only be sought when one is gravely ill, the illness has worsened, prior to surgery or old age.Due to the new federal regulations around patient privacy called HIPAA, the Hospitals can no longer call the parish, unless requested by the patient, about parishioners who have been admitted. If you would like a priest to come to administer the Anointing of the Sick for you, a loved one or friend please contact the parish office to make arrangements.
