Our Distinguished Graduates

December 14, 2022

December 14, 2022 - My schedule for Dec. 19-20: M (AM), T (PM) – St. Martin; M (PM), T (AM) – St. Al’s

To our St. Martin of Tours School Families:

Here is a list of some upcoming activities here at school:

Thursday, December 15 – Mass, 8:00am
Monday, December 19 – Grades K-5 Christmas Performance, 7:00pm in the Gym
Tuesday, December 20 – Pajama Day (see more information below)
Wednesday, December 21-Tuesday, January 3 – CHRISTMAS BREAK, NO SCHOOL
Wednesday, January 4 – Classes resume

All K-5 students should have received the informational flyer/permission slip for the Christmas performance on Monday, Dec. 19. Please return this form as soon as possible. The doors to the Activity Center/Gym will open promptly at 6:30pm and all students need to be here by 6:45pm. Students will go to their homeroom to check in and get ready for their performance. Please DO NOT use the Main entrance or the Harding entrance, as no one will be in the office to answer the door. After the performance, students will return to their classrooms and parents/guardians will pick up their child/children from there.

If you are looking for a way to “give back” this holiday season, the church and school are currently taking collections to ensure our students have a hot lunch each day. Donations can be made at the Parish Office, the School Office, in the collection basket at Mass (marked “Lunch Donations”), and online at https://www.wesharegiving.org/app/giving/WeShare-1569?tab=home – select “Donations for School Lunches”. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

If you are in need of a meal for Christmas, the St. Martin of Tours St. Vincent de Paul Society can help. You need to contact them at 513-661-0085 by the end of business TODAY so they can plan for you as the meal distribution is this Saturday!

On Tuesday, December 20, we will have a Pajama Day! The staff and students are welcome to come to school wearing their best PJ’s (Christmas PJ’s would be GREAT). As always, there are guidelines, so PLEASE pay close attention to them: NO rips, tears, or holes; NO "spaghetti straps" or sleeveless shirts (shoulders must be covered), NO "crop tops" (stomachs/backs must be covered), NO sandals/crocs/clogs/flipflops - closed toed/closed heeled shoes must be worn, NO hats, bottoms should be of an appropriate length, NO hooded sweatshirts. Please note that not all guidelines can be listed and the school staff will have the final say of what is appropriate and what is inappropriate. If clothing is deemed inappropriate, we will call home and other clothes will need to be brought to school. It would be great if you could ensure your child/children are dressed appropriately to help make things go as smoothly as possible!

There will not be a letter from me for the next couple of weeks due to Christmas Break. I do sincerely hope and pray that all of you have a Blessed and Merry Christmas and a fantastic start to your New Year! Thank you for all you do!

Sincerely,

Mr. Jason Fightmaster

Principal
